Basic IVF Treatments:
During your first visit our IVF center your overall health and fertility status is checked and based on that further evaluations and diagnostics are recommended.
The basic infertility treatments that are offered at our IVF Centre are:
Ovulation Induction– Ovulation is a process that happens naturally to women. In case the process doesn’t happen on its own it is induced. Around 30-40 % of women have problems due to ovulation. The main objective of Ovulation induction is to achieve a healthy ovulation and release more than one egg in a month which as a result increases the chances of getting pregnant per cycle.
Timed Intercourse– Timed intercourse is a process of monitoring your ovarian cycle via ultrasound. During the monthly cycle of a woman she is most fertile five days before she ovulates until 24 hours of ovulation. This time frame is the when the pregnancy is at its highest potential. Timed intercourse coinciding with ovulation increases the conception rate. Timed intercourse is the most cost effective way to help a couple conceive a baby.
Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)– Intrauterine insemination is a process of placing the sperm inside the uterus so close to the egg that the chances of fertilization are the highest. IUI treats many causes of infertility like Irregular ovulation, Endometriosis, cervical factor infertility, unexplained infertility, PCOS treatments etc.
Advanced IVF treatments India:
Basic treatments are sometimes enough to cover the issues related to infertility in males and females. In complex cases we at Indo Nippon IVF perform some highly advanced treatments for infertility to help the couple have a baby.
Advanced treatments at Indo Nippon IVF include
Endoscopic procedures- Endoscopic procedures involve the use of an instrument called endoscope which is used to look inside the body organ to examine. Endoscopy can be of various types depending upon the organ it is being done on and the purpose involved. Hysteroscopy and Laparoscopy are two types of endoscopic procedures performed during IVF performed under anesthesia.
Conventional IVF- Conventional IVF treatment is recommended to women who have had a failed pregnancy via normal means. In conventional IVF the mature egg follicles are stimulated and retrieved from the ovaries. The retrieved eggs are then fertilized with the sperm. The resulting embryo is then planted into the uterus.
Natural Cycle IVF- Natural IVF cycle is a very standard process involving very less medications to stimulate the ovary to make multiple eggs. This type of IVF holds fewer risks and is preferred over the Conventional IVF Treatment. In natural cycle IVF the risk of ovarian hyper-stimulation syndrome is also eliminated. For women who are poor responders to medications, a case where the infertility is due to men this process is given preference.
IVF lite- IVF lite or Mini IVF is a process similar to standard IVF using lesser medications to stimulate the ovaries to release the eggs. Since fewer medications are used there are fair chances of less number of eggs released during the process, lowering the chances of development of a healthy embryo. IVF Lite is less effective than the standard IVF but in cases where women have low ovarian reserve or for those who are not comfortable with egg freezing this type of IVF can be a good option. It is also cheaper as compared to other methods as the medicines and office visits involved are less.
In-Vitro Fertilization– In-Vitro fertilization is a type of assisted reproductive technology (ART) in which a women’s eggs are retrieved from the ovaries and fertilized with the sperm and the resulting embryo is placed inside the uterus for a normal development. IVF treatments India can be used to overcome many fertility issues for couples struggling with having a baby. Over the years IVF process has become simpler, safer more successful.
Segmented IVF– Segmented IVF cycles are the ones in which the no fresh embryos are used in the cycle. Cryo-preserved embryos are used instead in a programmed frozen embryo transfer cycle. Segmented IVF is known to overcome a lot of shortcomings caused in the other IVF methods. The embryo survival rate from freeze/thaw process at Indo Nippon IVF has been 95%+ which means none of the embryos are lost during the process.
ICSI– Intracystoplasmic sperm injection or ICSI is the process of injecting the sperm directly into an egg. In a regular IVF the sperm travels to the egg on its own and the fertilization takes place naturally. But in ICSI the sperm is made to fertilize with the egg by placing it directly into the egg. ICSI is a male infertility issue and done in cases like poor quality sperm, low quality sperm and poor sperm movement.
Frozen Embryo Transfer– In frozen embryo transfer, frozen embryo from the previous cycle or from the donor egg cycle are thawed and placed in the women’s uterus. The ability to freeze and thaw embryos is one of the greatest advancements in assisted reproductive technology (ART).
Advanced Embryology treatments at Indo Nippon IVF:
One of the reasons of delivering high end results at Indo Nippon IVF is the success of its advanced lab services. Following advanced embryological techniques are being performed for superlative results.
Blastocyst Embryo transfer– Blastocyst embryo is a human embryo at 5,6 or 7 days old. In blastocyst embryo transfer the embryo that is cultured at the blastocyst stage is transferred to the womb. The chance of survival of embryo at this stage is most viable as the embryos are old enough to successfully continue the pregnancy and make it more likely unlike the embryos which are at a younger stage.
Freezing of embryo– Embryo freezing or embryo banking is a method to preserve your embryos that can be used at later stages of life when the women are ready for conception. Egg freezing is also a common method adopted to preserve fertility. Eggs and sperms are preserved at respective banks and are used at the time of conception.
Assisted hatching of Embryos– In assisted hatching of embryos the embryo is hatched using a computer assisted laser. The embryo grows inside a wall called Zona Pellucida which hatches naturally and the cells escape , in cases where this does not happen (like older women) laser assisted hatching is done to overcome the difficulties.
Genetic Analysis done at Indo Nippon IVF :
Genetic analysis performed at initial levels of the treatments rules out all the possible abnormalities that can be worrisome for the couple looking to have a baby. We perform the following preventive genetic analysis at Indo Nippon IVF to be sure.
PGD Mumbai– Pre-implantation genetic diagnosis is a type of diagnosis done to check any possible genetic abnormality in the embryo before implantation into the uterus. Some of the diseases known to be detected during PGD are – Thalassemia, Tay Sachs disease, cystic fibrosis etc.
PGS – Pre–implantation screening is a type of screening done on the embryo obtained during IVF and evaluating its chromosomal status. In case of normal number of chromosomes (euploidy) in the embryo it is considered for embryo transfer. PGS is an excellent way to increase the IVF efficiency in selected couples.
Fertility preservation techniques at Indo Nippon IVF:
With the advancements in technology it Is also possible to preserve your fertility and conceive at the time you want using frozen cells.
Egg freezing– Egg freezing technique is a method to preserve a woman’s fertility so that she can have babies when she is ready to conceive at a later stage of life. Women choose this option of freezing their eggs due to medical as well as personal problems.
Sperm freezing– Sperm freezing or cryopreservation is a method used for preserving a man’s fertility. In this process the man’s sperm are frozen in a media and then transferred in liquid nitrogen until needed for IVF, IUI or donating sperms.
Fertility preservation for cancer patients– Most young cancer patients also desire future pregnancies. The protocols followed during cancer are very harmful and may disturb the fertility factors such as eggs and sperms. In such cases the sperms and eggs are frozen for future use in pregnancies.
